Especially impressive is the "Master of Beauty". This is a "Masters course", where internationally recognised specialists from Brazil, USA and France train Italian plastic surgeons to become aesthetic plastic surgeons. The Italian doctors have completed the same highly specialised courses as the German plastic surgeons - this means a six and seven year specialist training. This training deserves attention especially from the patient point of view, because lately, several doctors from different specialisations - such as ENT specialists, gynaecologists or dermatologists are decorating themselves with non-copyrighted titles like "Beauty surgeons" or even aesthetic surgeons" and in many cases are practising surgeries that they have not been trained in. The special aspect of this masters course at Padua, that involves the obligation of scientific publications for the tutors, is the one-year "round the clock" attendance of the student with successful graduation of "his" Master. An educational process that ought to set an example around the world. |
